“Oh No He Isn’t!”
According to BBC News, Tennant dismissed speculation that he’s leaving Doctor Who. Well, bully for him. It doesn’t mean that he isn’t though. He still says that he’s currently only doing Season 4 and four specials. Which means that Tate’s comment that he’s not doing any more series still stands.
And call me an old cynic but doesn’t anyone else feel that they trot this story out every time they want to drum up publicity for a new series/special? I will nail my colours to the mast right now: I think that he will regenerate in the last special and series 5 will have a new Doctor (as well as a new Executive Producer).
Only a couple of years to go before we find out if I’m right…

I think if DT leaves at the end of the “Specials” that would be the ideal time for him to “bow out”. Three seasons is very respectable for a “Dr stint” (see Troughton/Davison) so I’d be happy to see him go after that. Gosh sounds like I’m eager to get rid of him! Mind you my feelings on DT’s portrayal have been mixed….with hindsight I prefered Chris Eccleston.
I agree, all of this rumour mongering is is probably just part of the campaign to drum up publicity for the next series and get people watching….
