Show 52: Doctor Who – The Gunfighters

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-har!

Howdy folks, just have to get some horrendously old and tired cowboy cliches out of my system and this seems like an appropriate place to do it.

The Gunfighters has been, for many years, saddled (ho ho) with a very poor reputation based largely on three ‘facts’.

First, that it was the lowest rated Doctor Who story ever (it wasn’t), second that is a poorly put together western pastiche (it isn’t) and thirdly, that it’s crap.

But you’ll have to listen to the show to see what we thought, I’m not giving it away that easily…

As usual you can get our show from iTunes or download it by clicking here.

See you again in a fortnight!

Don’t Wait Up

Nigel Havers (currently appearing in the top rated US drama Brothers and Sisters) has been confirmed for a guest role on the new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures.

The actor (who has also appeared in the Big Finish 8th Doctor play No More Lies) is expected to appear in two episodes of series three, playing a character who “looks set to change things for Sarah Jane Smith forever”.

Could this have anything to do with the rumours of Sarah-Jane getting married…?

Brian Miller, actor husband of Elisabeth Sladen (and voice of the Daleks in Remembrance of the Daleks), will also guest in the new run. Producer Nikki Wilson told Doctor Who Magazine: “He was simply ideal casting for this pivotal role, which sees him in conflict with Sarah Jane and the gang. Although there’s a lot more going on with Brian’s character than might first appear.”

News of the guest castings follows recent confirmation that David Tennant will appear as the Doctor in a two-episode story.

A Short Delay

Due to Andrew having his bathroom ripped out and replaced, SHOW 52: DOCTOR WHO – THE GUNFIGHTERS will now be out this weekend (27th/28th). Sorry for the delay folks, obviously a working toilet is more important than our show. Can’t see it myself (unless it was mine, of course)…
