Show 59: Doctor Who – The Tenth Planet

September 30, 2009 Paul Leave a comment

Oh my good God, we have reached the end of the William Hartnell era of Doctor Who. A milestone for us here at Cadmium2 but a colossal landmark for Doctor Who itself.

Not only will the show take the biggest gamble in it’s entire history in the last two minutes – but it introduces us to the Cybermen!

Strap yourselves in ladies, gentlemen and geeks – it’s far from being all over…

You can, of course, get this show via iTunes or download directly from here.

Oh, and keep an eye on your feed next week too…

Despite Andrew and I having our own personal Twitter accounts, it’s taken a frighteningly long time for us to realise that a Cadmium2 twitterfeed would perhaps be a good idea!

So, the tweets are now updating on the right of this page (see?) and feel free to follow us at http://twitter.com/cadmium2.

Spaced Out

Simon Pegg twittered this morning:

“Spaced premiered on Channel 4, 10 years ago this month. Happy Daiz but there will be no more. Time to let it go.”

Not unexpected really (did we honestly think they’d do any more?), but a bit sad nonetheless…

Don’t say we didn’t draw your attention to the latest Cadmium2 Big Finish review for Whispers of Terror. And don’t say that this extremely laboured joke using small text to, in effect, whisper at you, is lame. We already know.

Show 58 – The Mighty Boosh (radio)

Come with us now on a journey into time and space…

Feel the bracken and calm your llama down...

Feel the bracken and calm your llama down...

Welcome to the surreal surroundings of Bob Fossil’s Funworld (aka the Zooniverse) where zookeepers Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) and Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) embark on a series of bizarre adventures that include a trip to the Arctic tundra to find a lost egg, an expedition deep into the jungle and being trapped inside a hitchhiker’s box.

The Mighty Boosh has become a TV phenomenon. But before that it was a cult stage hit. Between cult stage hit and TV phenomenon there was the often forgotten radio series. Largely improvised, it’s unique in it’s creativity and comedy. There is NOTHING else like it.

So strap yourselves in and prepare for the show by having a listen here and here. That’s just a small, restrained taste of what you can expect. And if you think you can handle it, you can buy it here!

Welcome… to the world of The Mighty Boosh!

You can, of course, get this show via iTunes or download directly from here.
