Hello, and welcome to the website for Cadmium2, the podcast all about Cult British TV, Film and Audio.
As you’ll have noticed, there is an awful lot to cover and we have set ourselves an enormous task. We hope you’ll stick with us over the coming decades as we gainfully attempt to cover not only every Doctor Who TV episode ever made, in order, but the masses of other cult shows and films created in the UK since 1938, when the BBC broadcast the first ever piece of televised science fiction in the world; R.U.R.
So – you’ll have heard us talking, discussing, arguing, bitching and generally going on a bit about things, maybe it’s time we introduced ourselves properly…

Paul was born in 1973. Transparently of noble blood he tolerates the presence of his patently inferior co-hosts, whilst secretly arranging for them both to become part of the USA’s latest Extraordinary Rendition programme, Guantanamo’s Next Top Model Prisoner. It has been suggested that he is a direct descendant of Engelbert Humperdinck, however this has been frequently denied despite his tendency to burst in to off-key samples of Please Release Me and Lesbian Seagull.
Andrew was born in 1972. No-one is quite sure why but apparently it has something to do with a tandem bicycle, a three week old Dairylea triangle and the removal of British Military bases in Malta in December 1971. He is extremely good at fiddling with knobs. And working the mixing board. His smiling face in this rare picture hides a deeper and more perverted sinister menace.
The details of Mike’s birth are shrouded in secrecy. Rumours abound that he was part of a secret Government project attempting to grow humans in petri dishes in a disused car park at the back of an old Wimpy in Penge, but that something went wrong during the hatching and he escaped. This theory can be backed up by the mood swings, bizarre facial ticks and his habit of putting wigs on lizards on the 13th of April every year.
